In cooperation of the Ministry of Economy of the Sarajevo Canton (KS) and UNDP, the first info session for young people from the Sarajevo Canton was held today, aimed at encouraging their participation in the activities of the grant scheme for entrepreneurship development and support for the launch of new startup companies.
These activities are carried out within the framework of the project "Better Governance to Faster Economic Growth" (EGG) funded by the Ministry of Economy with the support of the Government of the Kingdom of Norway, while the Employment Service of the Sarajevo Canton also participates in its implementation.
During this session, the organizers presented in detail the public invitation and offered all necessary information related to participation. This public invitation covers young people under 35 from all nine municipalities of the Sarajevo Canton.
As highlighted on this occasion, the planned support program includes: carrying out specialist multi-day entrepreneurial training for about 80 participants, non-repayable financial support for the implementation of about 55 top rated business plans with a maximum amount of support per business plan of 15,000KM.
It also includes a possibility for selected program beneficiaries to sign the accompanying agreements on co-financing the cost of mandatory contributions to salaries during the first year of business and mentoring support and monitoring during the first year of business.
The deadline for submissions is Wednesday 7th August this year by 5:00 pm.
The Ministry of Economy of the Sarajevo Canton plans to implement three youth employment support programs this year and fund them with 2,000,000 KM. Together with the UNDP and other partners, the Ministry wants to encourage young people in the Sarajevo Canton and give them concrete support in starting their own businesses, so that our country can improve its current poor position on the regional and European ladder of implementing these types of development projects.
