The Sarajevo Canton Government (KS) has adopted the Annual Plan for the Implementation of the Small Business Development Program for 2018 at the 122nd regular session.
The amount of 3,800,000 KM is planned for this purpose in the Budget of the KS for this year. It is planned it will be allocated to small business entities as investment funds to subsidize their costs.
The implementation of this program envisages the fulfillment of five strategic objectives for the development of small business entities: improvement of economic growth and development, improvement of access to sources of financing, promotion of entrepreneurship, improvement of entrepreneurial skills and improvement of administrative and business environment.
Their implementation will enable strengthening of the competitiveness of all economic entities and increase of employment, through the increase of economic growth and the number of economic entities.
In this year's plan, the Ministry of Economy of the KS has defined 9 programs to be implemented in the following period: Loans to small business entities under more favorable conditions; Subsidizing interest on a taken loan; Improving the institutional entrepreneurial infrastructure; Support in the application of technical norms and quality standards; Improving the work of the craft association; Incentive of development of women's entrepreneurship; The incentive for the improvement of IT entrepreneurship; Incentives for the promotion of innovative employment; Raising public awareness and developing a positive attitude towards entrepreneurship; Providing expert and advisory assistance to small businesses.
Implementation of incentive measures and realization of the mentioned programs will enable small business entities to properly conduct their activities, increase the volume of production or services and secure new jobs.
This annual plan has been prepared in accordance with the Development Strategy of the Sarajevo Canton until 2020.
