The Government continues to be committed to the continuation of the positive economic processes in the Sarajevo Canton, which are reinforced by new investments and employment. In cooperation with the Cantonal Agency for Privatization it is possible to secure even bigger investments," said Elmedin Konakovic, Prime Minister of the Sarajevo Canton, at the meeting with Bojan Varunek, Acting Director of the Cantonal Agency For Privatization and his Assistant Ermin Alimanovic. Muharem Sabic, Mario Nenadic, Ministers of Economy, Justice, and Jasmin Halebic, minister of Financing also attended the event.
Acting Director Varunek informed the attendees about the current situation in the Agency, and noted that he hoped that the issue of its governing structures would soon be resolved. "We are continually working on collecting and arranging information and data on companies and assets within the competence of the Agency, especially those outside the borders of Bosnia and Herzegovina," said Varunek, adding that the employees are willing to continue with all activities which are within the competence of this Agency, as well as new projects that are assigned to them by the Sarajevo Canton Government.
Minister Nenadic pointed out that it is very important for the Agency to cooperate with the Sarajevo Cantonal Attorney's Office, in particular on the property repossession of the passive sub-balance. According to Halebic, Minister of Financing, it is important that all privatization activities are carried out, since all realized revenues go to the Sarajevo Canton Budget. Minister Sabic gave support to the Agency, and he said that the privatization process is undisputed and indispensable in our society.
